áfrica was directed by anna muylaert and received the mtv
award for best mpb video clip of 1996. additionally, the video was applauded
by a US magazine as the best video shot in one take. it was recorded
in catolé do rocha, a small city in the outback of paraíba
where chico was born, the video
features chico's father and mother, his entire family and other town
members. Detail: the angel costumes used by many of the children in
the video were made by the artist's very own aunts. the video was made
to promote the cd entitled cuscuz clã. |

em você - videoclip from the Mama Mundi album released
in 2000. The video was shot at at a camp of the MST (Movement of Landless
People) in the interior of the federal state of Sao Paulo. Chico has
been supportive to the movement ever since. It is a very special video
to chico because it features a lovesong in a social and political enviroment.
