    Graal or Portrait of Faust as a Young Man, Based on Brazil's best known poet, Haroldo de Campos text from 1952, fully conceived for the stage by Gerald Thomas, with music by Michelle Dibucci. Opened at the Carlos Gomes Theater (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) on October 2, 1997. In the cast, Bete Coelho, Luiz Damasceno and students from CAL. Sets by Antonio Dias.

    Documentary by TV Cultura , including all of the works by Gerald Thomas, aired in May and another documentary by NDR3, Germany, aired in august.

    Empire of Half Truths, by Gerald Thomas, with the Dry Opera Company,opened in Rio and played 12 cities in Braziland around the world.

    1992
    The Flash and Crash Days, was performed at Lincoln Center, New York, during the Serious Fun Festival; and in Hamburg at the Kampnagel Fabrik, Cologne, Lausanne and Copenhagen. It was broadcast in full by NDR 3, German TV. (04)

    The Kafka Trilogy: A process ; A Metamorphosis ; Praga. This trilogy opened in Brazil and was also performed at La Mama, New York City and at the Wiener Festwochen, where it was presented as the main attraction and braodcast in its entirety on Austrian national television, ORF. An extended world tour of "The Kafka Trilogy" followed in 1989. (10)

    The Flying Dutchman (O Navio Fantasma). The Richard Wagner opera opened at Teatro Municipal, in Rio de Janeiro, amidst great controversy. Cast included Sabine Haas and other international opera singers.
