Street High Fashion

The trends of autumn-winter catwalk shows of Paris and Milan cover pages and pages of this month main fashion magazines. The editorials have elected "in" moments in different senses, but, definitely, there is a thing in common in the season publications: to show where the reader can get that trendy clothing for a real reasonable price. Most of the magazines bring tips on the tip of the tongue and that was what the Sunday Times fashion insert showed on Sunday, 09/03.

Eight pages explore the last season revivals and let the feeling of everything is still about the re-readings and more re-readings, with the difference that, in this season, many decades appear at once.

The visits to the 40's, 60's, 70's and 80's were published in the Style of Sunday Times with four photographs from catwalks, a studio production - called High Fashion - and "stills" (photographs of pieces of clothing without models dressing them) from tips of the High Streets. Talking clearly, High Fashion brings pieces of great names and brands and the most expensive London addresses, while on "stills" page, many addresses are on Oxford Street or High Kensington St. and bring the same lines of product, already available in megastores or multibrands.

In the same direction, even the cultural guide Time Out published in the last week of August, interviews with buyers (professionals who shop and define in what the stores will bet) from Selfridges, Top Shop and Marks&Spencer - stores with prices for all pockets. Information about the main styles invested are added to the trends of colours, prints, etc. and intensify the feeling of " all at the same time now".

Fast as never, the images of the catwalk, street and display are all mixed and visibly there aren't many more differences about who has arrived first.

Remains now, wait for the next London Fashion Week and try to see something new in the front, further than the London's high fashion streets.
