Official documents reveal ideas and theories involving eugenics and racial purity as forms to perfect the human species and breed a new man. These concepts were researched in the course of the twentieth century with varying attempts to make them into reality. In Germany and in the ex-Soviet Union, the process met with dire consequences in spite of having travelled in diverse directions. In Germany, racial purity ran through the body, through perfection and physical beauty, whereas in the Soviet Union, eugenics focused on the brain and on the intellect.
