Drama
that accompanies the life of the founder of Pakistan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah
(1876-1948), made in remembrance of fifty years from his death. In 1947,
India had declared independence from the British government. The state
of Pakistan, the first to be established as a country for Moslems, was
instituted painfully.
Jinnah, responsible for founding the country,
had dreamed of this for a long while, but died only one year after the
great ambition of his people had become reality. On his way to the hospital,
his life begins to ebb. In a coma, he remembers the dilemmas and triumphs
of his life, his ideals, happy moments and the tragedy of the death of
his young wife.
As from life as political leader, the script
follows along with the turbulent history of separatism in India, intrigues,
and the final debate between Vice-Roy Lord Mountbatten, Jinnah, Gandhi,
and Nehru. And reveals Jinnah's dream of idealism, divided between a will
to free his people and the hard reality of the maneuvers and political
moves.
