What happens when a child finds a weapon or a weapon finds a child? The film broaches a phenomenon increasing the world over: use of arms by children and teenagers. Stevie, an asthmatic child aged thirteen is saturated with television to the extent that he records on video his own attempt at suicide. He does not carry his plan through, but finds another means of bringing change to his hellish life, in any one US suburb: his mother's gun.
Rocky, his girlfriend, is about to call on him so they can go together to school. In a few minutes, she realizes that the two have a relationship typical of teenagers where love is immature and sex total. Seduced by the gun, that is like a new toy, Rocky decides to fall in with his plan to rob a bank and go with him. They almost make it, but are intercepted by the local police and by the FBI. In an uncontrollable situation, in the style of Dog Day Afternoon, both are trapped in the bank with several hostages and are being awaited outside by a contingent of police and by the press.
