In Texas, anything is larger than life. The best example of this is Happy, a quiet city where the great event of the year is the Beauty Queen Competition with local talent. Unfortunately, support to the community is dwindling, and the chances of entering state finals are remote. The way out, therefore, is to contract the best specialists in this field - a famous couple of gays to direct the show.

     In deference to the two professionals in matters of beauty, nobody in the city would ever admit they are, in fact, two runaway criminals. They have stolen the car from the gay couple and assumed their identity. With the Texas Rangers hard on their heels, the city bank waiting to be robbed, and many a beautiful girl, Happy seems perfect to the twosome. The problem is the town sheriff who finds the two strangers suspect.
