A noir film revolving around the murder of a girl known only by the name of Golondrina. She was assassinated in a sordid hotel in the center of Bogotá, for reasons unknown. The crime is investigated by an ex-policeman who pieces together fragments of the girl's life, even though he does not know the true identity of the victim.

     He discovers that she has had affairs with several men, an unsuccessful boxer, a blind seller of lottery tickets, a cowardly bull-fighter, and a corrupt politician linked to paramilitary groups. What starts as a simple case of crime passionel develops into a complex and nebulous plot. The narrator-detective realizes that he is also part of the victim's life.
