Frank, an actor out of a job, is invariably in the company of his friend Daniel, a young successful executive on the music market, always on the look-out for attractive women. Both have a friend in common: long-suffering, dispirited Laurence. On his return to London following a business trip to Minneapolis, Daniel meets and falls in love with Martha, a beautiful young American who plans to restart life in England. As soon as the plane lands, Martha finds a means of giving him the slip. As chance would have, however, she meets up with him again and also meets Laurence and Frank, who is equally seduced by her charm. The love threesome is formed in this comedy of mistakes and errors.
