The trajectory of Russian immigrants who arrived in Tel Aviv at the time of the Gulf War, at the start of the nineties. Yana and her friends face the problems of any immigrant in a new country: differences in language and culture, a lack of money, of a job, and of love. Yana is a girl, pregnant and abandoned by her husband. On the journey, she meets Eli, an Israeli photographer of twenty years or so who wants no commitment, but only casual sex. Eli is also a professional voyeur who uses his video camera to capture private moments in other people's lives. Yana's presence in his apartment is irresistible to him, and he eventually transforms her tragedy into his personal project. When the threat of poisonous gas missiles launched by Sadam Hussein sets them on guard, he perceives that life is greater than the images that he can see through his camera.
