Relationships
in the nineties are no longer what they used to be. At least in this comedy
by Rose Troche that blends in styles to follow along with the routine
of two gay friends who share the same apartment, but not the same bed.
Leo
would like to have a stable relationship and begins to feel envy of some
hetero couples. His flat-mate.
Darren, on the other hand, prefers casual sex. Neither of the two, however,
is contented with his own life.Darren has a turbulent affair with a real
estate salesman, Jeremy.
The
fetiche for both is to have sex in houses that are for sale or for rent.
Meanwhile, Leo lives an overwhelming passion for Brendan, who is part
of his therapy group and apparently hetero. Even so, he insists on seducing
him. They start an affair triggering an upheaval in the group who then
question the sexual preferences for each. Complication brews when, Brendan's
ex-girl, finds out he is dating Leo.
