Suwa
is a man aged 40, shy, not exactly attractive, who spends a great deal
of his time at the computer. One day his wife disappears, taking with
her credit cars, passport, and all of the money. She leaves only a mysterious
note: "Everyone was moon. I can stand it no longer, good-by."
He knows little
about her, having met her through a meeting that was arranged, soon after
which they were married. Suwa has always been true to her, and was happily
married in spite of not having had any children. For this reason, he does
not wish to involve the police in the case and prefers to look for her
on his own.
He has the assistance
of his youngest brother who puts him into contact with a harlot, Yumi.
Both get along well and take up residence together. Some time later, they
are in a small town on the coast of Japan named Minazuki, that means:
"Everyone was moon". And it is there that he holds out hopes of finding
his wife.
