A heartbreaking drama that gyrates around the five senses (hearing, vision, taste, sense of smell, and touch) and around the lives of the five characters. Shaken by the disappearance of a child, five persons who live or work in the building in front of the park where the girl disappeared, face a personal crisis and try to find the key to their innermost desires.

Ruth is a masseuse who must rediscover her sense of touch and draw close once more to her daughter. Robert is a janitor/cleaner who is re-evaluating his love affairs - with men and women.

A fascination for aromas leads him to involve a couple whose husband is a perfume maker. Rona decorates cakes, but has lost her sense of taste: her sweets are now beautiful, but tasteless. Roberto is a kitchen chef who has exchanged Italy for Canada because of a great love. And Richard is an ophthalmologist who is having trouble with his hearing and must find new forms of hearing.

This is a film about the belief in life and love that shows that only human relationships can connect us with the world.
