John and Siri Lill are a couple who have been together for forty years and are yet to be married. He drinks a great deal and works in the graphics sector of the Dagbladet newspaper.

She is a successful and respected hairdresser in a beauty parlor belonging to Birger, a friend in common. John, generally bottle-in-hand, is an expert at being at the wrong spot at the wrong moment.

     Tired of her companion's drinking bouts, Siri Lill decides to leave him and moves to her parents' house. Hell there, however, is much worse. She returns to the apartment and finds it almost empty with John totally drunk.

     Birger, always trustworthy and a companion, is also there, behind the scenes, at the wrong spot, at the wrong moment. However, the impossible must occur. The comedy of errors for this couple seeks a happy end.
