Beirut is being rebuilt. A well-known pink house is about to be changed into a business center. The war is over, and the country is experiencing an economic boom. Many of the houses hit by the bombs are being demolished to make way for a large-scale rebuilding project.

The history of the pink house is strange enough. Built in a popular district in fictitious Matba'a, it was abandoned at the start of the war and almost destroyed by bombing raids. Two families are living illegally as squatters in the house: the Adaimi and the Nawfal. The  arrival of the legitimate owner surprises both families. In accordance with the law, they are given ten days to leave, so it will be vacant for reform.

The fact divides the local community: one group favors reconstruction, following on new economic standards for the country; and the other supports the right the two families have to a place to live in. The neighborhood becomes a battle field. The mechanisms of exclusion, justification, and fanaticism come into action. Resistance and opposition unfold under the indiscrete camera of a TV reporter.
