Documentary on the pop scene in Iceland.
After Björk and the Sugarcubes, a number of bands are coming to terms
with international fame - or oblivion. The documentary is a blend of the
best in both cases.
This is not,
however, just a collage of material obtained in shows and presentations.
There is also a focus on the life of the artists, both in the wings, and
in bars, or washrooms. The images show the great power and ambience unique
to pop music in the country, beyond the fine dividing line between cult
and classical.
As a bonus,
Paul Oscar, a celebrity in gay circles in Iceland embarks on an entertaining
tour through Reykjavik night life.
