Once
upon a time there was a suburb, where there lived a young girl named Alice.
She was beautiful and an adorable playmate: games with seduction and violence
were her favorites. One day, Alice decided to kill Said, a handsome classmate,
full of himself. Unable to carry out her plan on her own, she convinces
innocent Luc to commit the crime as proof of his love for her. However,
things are not as simple as she thought. In fact, to kill someone can
be complicated and difficult. Alice and Luc go to the forest to conceal
the body of the colleague assassinated, but they lose their way.
" The idea
for this film arose from my former passion for stories of crimes and fables.
I wanted to blend in these two modes. The subjects are generally the same:
homicide, abandonment, incest, suicide. And they exert the same fascination
on adults and children. These real or imaginary stories appeal to our
innermost as to our doubts, fears, and anxieties." (François Ozon)
