A film on the tempestuous and legendary work relationship between two myths of the cinema, Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski, and their independent and concomitant plans to kill one another. A love-hate relationship that is a complicated puzzle for any outsider, but that at the same time shows deep trust between a director and an actor. A string of coincidences that led Herzog, then a student of 13 years of age, to meet Kinski in the same apartment in Munich.

In a rage, Kinski destroyed all of the furniture on the site. This was but one of his attacks of fury. Herzog thus knew what to expect when, some years later, he called on Kinski to perform in Aguirre, The Wrath of God. Another four films were to most definitely mark the partnership between them: The Enigma of Kasper Hauser (selection for the 1st Mostra), Nosferatu - The Vampire, Fitzcarraldo, and Cobra Verde.
