Born in Antony, France, in 1964. She studied drama with Patrice Chéreau. Her first important part in the movies was in Le Faucon (1983), by Paul Boujenah. In 1987, she acted in Hôtel de France, by Chéreau. Among other things, she’s written plays like Kitchen with Apartment (Philippe Muyl) and Family Resemblances (Cédric Klapisch), winning the Molière for both plays. She also wrote the screenplay of Smoking/No Smoking (1993), one of the most famous films of Alain Resnais, winning the César for Best screenplay. Her first feature as director was The Taste of Others (25th Mostra). Look at Me won the Best Screenplay award at Cannes Festival 2004.
