Born in Neishabour (Iran), in 1973. He started his artistic career very early in drama. He graduated in acting and drama direction, and worked briefly in television. He directed the short films Smile (1988) and Travelers of Need (2001), the latter a documentary prized in Iran. Empty Hands is his first feature.
