Born in 1963, in Germany, he began as script writer and director in 1992. He was assistant at DEFA Studios, in 1985 and 1986, and assistant to Günther Reisch. From 1986 until 1991, he studied directing at Konrad Wolf College of Film and Television in Postdam-Babelsberg, from where he graduated. His feature
