Perspective
Strings (2004)
Denmark / Sweden / Norway / UK
A production played in its entirety by marionettes, Strings was two years in the making. The story takes place in a fantastic kingdom where the king dies unexpectedly in strange circumstances. As from then, the film follows along with the journeyings of Hal Tara, a young prince who swears he will avenge his father at any cost. He is decided and leaves, bound for enemy territory. On the way, he faces great trials and makes unexpected discoveries, including finding many hidden truths about his own people. In the course of his wanderings, when he least expects it, he finds himself face to face with passion that sweeps him off his feet.
