Perspective

A Less Bad World (2005)

Argentina

A middle-aged woman, mother of two daughters, travels with them to a remote seaside city in the interior of Argentina. She is in search of Cholo, her former love, father of her older daughter. Cholo disappeared after the severe repression to leftist militants during the Argentine dictatorship. She arrives, settles in a small apartment and later, goes to visit him in his bread shop, the best known in the region. Cholo, however, seems not to recognize her. Or he does not wish to be reminded of an extremely painful past, buried in his memory for twenty years.
