Thirty years of cinema and culture
FAAP has been a partner to Mostra Internacional de Cinema in the last four years. We are united in this cultural action that projects, promotes, and discusses world and national cinematography and that places Brazil on the agenda for important political-cultural events.
The quality of the programming is unquestionable, introducing the country to alternative productions from distant sources, with the excitement that Mostra brings to São Paulo City in all of these days of earnest debate on theme diversity and aesthetic issues in the films that are shown.
In these thirty years of uninterrupted activity, Mostra has become a national reference as a cultural event and in terms of excellence in successful cultural management. To bring to São Paulo hundreds of films made in different countries, in a different language and geography, that will privilege man and all authentic, local communication and modes of expression, is to attribute
worth to relevant cultural aspects that are almost always
forgotten with globalization.
FAAP is tuned in this quest for differences. To be part of Mostra Internacional de Cinema, of panoramic, entrepreneurial vision and bring it to the campus, is to offer our students one more cultural opportunity to have differences before us. Furthermore, the fact that directors, producers and distributors from other countries are on campus, with us, affords our students and professors a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and effective possibility for conveying ideas - a conscientious means to diffuse and produce knowledge that is characteristic of our teaching establishment, outstanding for its quality, with daring and creativity.
