Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began a career directing short films with which he won national awards. He was director of television for the RAI-TV (Italy) and, later, director of documentaries in Cuba (on invitation of the ICAIC) and in Argentina (for European TVs). He moved to Venezuela in 1977 where he produced and directed Bomba de Tiempo for the UN, on the Latin American foreign debt. He became a free-lance producer in 1987. His first feature, Golpes a Mi Puerta (1993) was part of the selection for the 18th Mostra.
