Born in Paris, France, in 1954. He was assistant director for important filmmakers such as François Truffaut (La Femme d’à Côté, 1981), Jean-Luc Godard (Passion, 1982, selection for the 6th Mostra), Barbet Schroeder (Tricheurs, 1984), and Arthur Penn (Target, 1985). He also directed several films for TV including Lisa et Simon (1997), Mata Hari: La Vraie Histoire (2003) e Procès de Famille (2003). October 17, 1961 was his first film for cinema as director.
