Apocalípsur (2005)
Colombia
In 1991, Medellin is a dangerous place to live in. The rules have changed, and even the police are wanted. Fear can be felt in the streets, and nowhere is wholly safe. Flaco decides to escape to London because his mother is under a death threat. His friends and girlfriend Malala surprise him with a farewell party that includes even a rock'n'roll band playing live. Some months later, The Flaco returns, but things have not, apparently, changed: the conflict is still there, and bombs still explode. Charlie and Malala, now married, would like to help him. They pick up Flaco at the airport in the company of a friend, a drug addict, Pipe and La Comadreja, an unscrupulous loser, and set off in the "Bola de Nieve", a van in which they have travelled many kilometers and that has now become a refuge for the group. This is the time to step it up, get away from the city and go on a fascinating journey through their lives. The road may make them forget the fact they live in Medellin and together, they can be part of the Apocalipsur (Apocalypsouth).
