Tommy is an eleven-year-old boy who lives with his elder sister Viola and his father Renato. The threesome make up a strange but united family shaken by emotional tragedy: the most important woman in their lives, the mother of the children and wife to Renato has left them. In spite of the unconsolable grief experienced by each, this family fraught with fury and imperfection carries on, striving, amongst themselves, to share out, what is left to them of love and tenderness.
