Charlotte is 32, has just put an end to a longstanding affair, and has moved into a new apartment. Her neighbor is a transsexual, Veronica, living on his own with his dog in an untidy apartment, wiling away his time religiously watching soap opera, applying make-up and shaving off unwanted hair on legs and face. One day, Charlotte finds she must move a bed and appeals to her neighbor for help. A hold-up, a new bed, and white curtains bring them together and make them the characters of a turbulent love story.
