Lina Chamie
She was born in São Paulo. She lived for 14 years in New York City, where she graduated at the University of New York (1988) and became master at the Manhattan School of Music (1991). For ten years, she worked at the Film Department in the University of New York. She went back to Brazil in 1994 and since then directed videos and the short Eu Sei que Você Sabe, exhibited at the 19th Mostra. In 2000, she directed Tonic Dominant, her feature debut. She was teacher in the Arts and Communication Department of the São Carlos Federal University between 2001 and 2005. The Milk Way is her second feature. (OM)
