Kart

Having been born to a family of artists, I followed the steps of my mother, Lia Farrel, and of my sister Simone Carvalho and started to work as a publicity model when I was two years old.     After having done approximately two hundred and fifty commercials, I made my debut as a play actress when I was 13, as a movie actress when I was 14, and as a TV actress when I was 18. I participated in all kinds of productions: comedies, musicals and dramas. I also was the producer of two plays.

My great dream was to be a race driver, but I had no idea of how to start until July, 1989, when I read an ad by the Kart Driving School in a newspaper.     So I started as a Kart racer and became THE BRAZILIAN CHAMPION (1989) and RIO DE JANEIRO CHAMPION (1990), SILVER CUP WINNER (1990) AND THE RIO DE JANEIRO CUPS RUNNER-UP (1990), GOLD CUP (1990) AND RIO DE JANEIRO SUMMER TOURNAMENT (1995). I passed through Formula 1600, Formula Ford, Canadian Formula 2000, and Italian Formula 2000.

I attended two race driving schools - it's essential for anyone who wants to be part of the racing world - (ALPIE in São Paulo and SPENÀRD-DAVID in Canada) and I helped me to participate in the South American Formula 3, the most important category in the Latin-American race driving activities.     In 1992 I raced a complete championship for the first time; I participated in Category B of Formula 3, winning the title of Brazilian Champion and South-American Champion.

It was the first time in the world race driving history that a woman won a Formula 3 - an international Formula raced all over the world - and as a consequence I was listed in GUINESS BOOK and in the BRITISH ENCYCLOPEDIA (BARSA EDITION)     I participated in the Interlagos Thousand Miles race with a Stock Car in 1993 - I finished third. In 1994 I again got the 3rd position racing a VW Prototype. In 1996 I organized the first women's team that ever raced the Thousand Miles; however, we had to abandon the race when we were in the 4th position after 8 hours of racing, due to problems in our Aldee. In 1997 I was 6th, racing in a women's double.

Turism

In 1995 I raced in the Argentinean Championship called Damas Cup with a Nissan-Sentra. I won three times and I got up to the winner's stand several times, and was proclaimed the "Hors Concours Champion" as I did not have the necessary permit to be rated at that championship.     In 1996 I traveled throughout Brazil and Argentina racing several Tourism and Kart categories. I won two victories in the 4 Stages of the Carioca Tourism Championship that I participated in.

In 1997 I raced again a full championship: the Rio de Janeiro Tourism Championship, always disputing the first place an being the "poleposition" between 34 pilots. Many times I was "kicked" outside the track, and I finished the Championship in the 4th place. I did too 6 races on the South American Formula 3 Championship, and I raced some stages in the Rio de Janeiro Kart Championship.     In 1998, I raced 4 rounds of Formula Palmer Audi and 7 rounds on the Vectra Challenge Championship on England.

Indy Lights Pan-Americana

In 1999, I did 5 races on the Panamerican Indy Lights Championship. It is a 490 horse power car, with only 650 Kg (1430 lb)! So, I have got de UOL sponsorship to race all the ILP 2000 Championship. The majority of the races are on Mexico, and we raced also on Pikes Peak oval track, situated at Colorado Springs, United States. It was my first time driving in a oval and I LOVED IT! What I can say is: is being so good to control this "bull"!

Aula de Direção Defnsiva/Evasiva

Em 2003 realizei outro sonho montando meu CENTRO DE TREINAMENTO DE PILOTOS onde ministro aulas na formação e treinamento de pilotos de Kart, Turismo, Fórmula, Protótipo, e também de Safety Driving, além de manter uma equipe de competição de Kart.

Tive convites de equipes para correr tanto na Fórmula 1 como na Fórmula Indy, mas não consegui o dinheiro necessário para ingressar em uma das categorias máximas do automobilismo.
