It's remarkable to find quality and confidence on such a great level in this Chico Cesar's first album. He took a risk of doing what every beginner would avoid to, and ended up quite well. Usually, the first album of any musician is recorded in a studio, with a band, percussion, voices and all that, with some weight. Just the opposite of it, Chico Cesar has recorded a live concert practically only with a little bench, an acoustic guitar and his nice voice. Chico started via the unplugged way.

The result can be measured up by the quick and large acceptance. Songs such as "Mama África", "À Primeira Vista" (At First Glance), "Benazir" and others were born potential hits. Despite the brilliant presence of such guest musicians as Lenine and Lanny Gordon, the secret of that success is based on the quality of all compositions. It was just undeniable for everyone to notice that a big star was on his way to appear definitely on Brazilian musical scenery. Coming to the second album, which is a perfect piece of work, was a mere consequence.
